Class Schedules
Course One ~ Introduces the basic fundementals of cake decorating. This course covers cake structure, construction, icing, basic borders, drop flowers, piping gel transfers, simple figure piping, buttercream rose and more.
February's course is offered Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Starts 2/3/2010
March's course is offered Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Starts 3/3/2010
April's course is offered Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Starts 4/7/2010
Course Two ~ Concentrates on royal icing flowers, including pansies, daisies, daffodils, violas, apple blossoms, and roses. More complex borders are introduced, as well as color flow and basketweave.
February's course is offered on Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. Starts 2/4/2010
March's course is offered on Thursday afternoon from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Starts 3/4/2010
April's course is offered on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Starts 4/8/2010
Course Three ~ More complicated royal icing flowers, such as the lily are covered. In addition, the use of fondant as a cake icing and applied decoration, as well as tiered cake construction is introduced.
February's course is offered on Thursday afternoon from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Starts 2/4/2010
March's course is offered on Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. Starts 3/4/2010
April's course is offered on Thursday afternoons from 12 to 2 p.m. Starts 4/8/2010
These are 2 hour classes meeting for 4 weeks, and require a minimum number of 4 students to be held.
Private Courses
Gumpaste Floral Sprays ~ This course teaches the student how make a variety of gumpaste floral sprays with wired construction.
Gumpaste and Fondant Figures ~ This course teaches the student basic figure construction, including a child, an adult, and 3 animal figures.
Gumpaste Shoes, make up and bling ~ This course teaches the student how to create life size gumpaste replicas of a woman's high heel shoe, make up and jewelry accessories.
These are 2 hour classes meeting for 2 weeks.
Private Cake Decorating Classes ~ The content of these classes are tailored to student need and interest.
Private courses are offered for groups or single students.
